A wide receiver relies on his basketball skills
This is not about the Celtics and their inability sometimes to rebound.
Friday night was windy, but Saturday afternoon was worse--at least in Waldoboro, where Medomak Valley was hosting Old Town in an 8/9 Class C Prelim. The teams had met in week 1, a 2-point Medomak win. Could Old Town get some revenge and advance to a quarterfinal against Greely?
In short, nope.
Medomak dominated, a 62-6 drubbing. Shamus Pease ran for 3 TDs, Jaydiin Ruiz added 2, and Owen Dostie pulled in two long TD catches, including one that was clearly built on rebounding drills. After the game, I caught up with him.
Medomak Valley will head to Greely as Class C starts the most compelling bracket in the state.
This looks fun (ignore the part where it says Regionals instead of Gold Ball. No regions and all that).

Game of the Day
The Bangor and Camden girls split the regular season series, with each team winning at home. Now they're facing each other in a Regional Final, which is...at Bangor. Is it because the higher seed hosts in a Regional Final?
Nope.
Mt. Abram and Hall-Dale are playing at Edward Little. Richmond and Monmouth are playing at Cony.
But they put the A North Regional Final in Bangor, which seems avoidable.
Anyway, that moves the line by half a goal.
