My Kid, the Pundit?
He might need a new career path

There were a lot of intriguing matchups on the Week 4 calendar. Multiple clashes between 3-0 teams. So why did I find my way to Waldoboro for Leavitt @ Medomak Valley? Well, that's my team and it was Homecoming and the children wanted to go. Plus, I wanted to see Leavitt again.
Does Rhys care about football? No. Does he love to be in videos? 100%.
I'm really only putting the video in here to keep him happy.
His prediction was very wrong.
My 8 year old has predicted 2 games and has been wildly wrong in both of them. He might be the next Clay Travis.

Medomak had Jaydiin Ruiz back for this game, after missing the first 3 with a hand injury that required 46 stitches. It didn't really matter, as Ruiz wasn't in game shape (fun fact: it's hard to run and do cardio with stitches in your hand, as it jostles them with every step).
Leavitt dominated this game, scoring on every possession except one.
And the one is interesting.
At the end of the half, Medomak punted down to the 1-ish yard line with 2.4 seconds left. Obviously, you take a knee here, but it was close enough that there was a risk of a safety, so Leavitt decided to throw it deep. What could go wrong?
That's basketball player Owen Dostie with the almost pick 6. He also scored Medomak's only touchdown, as Leavitt showed why they're Leavitt en route to a 50-6 blowout.
In the car after the game, Rhys asked if the other team had a superpower. I sent that to Hathaway and he replied "hard work". Rhys wasn't impressed.
He also crashed the Week 4 Overreactions podcast. He's on a bit of a media tour. Maybe he has a new album coming out.
Jay Baines joined me for the Week 4 Overreactions podcast. We tried to figure out if every class should get rid of regions like Class C did, the chances of Gardiner and Cony both being 7-0 when they meet to finish the season, Bonny Eagle's stifling defense, Bapst's win over Winslow, and a bunch more. Plus, whether or not hard work is a superpower.

There were a bunch of really good games this weekend. Cony outlasted an Oxford Hills comeback! Boothbay beat Traip in overtime! Deering beat Lewiston by 1! Marshwood beat Cheverus by 1! Orono won a shootout over Dexter! Falmouth got a statement win over Gorham!
Speaking of Dexter, they're trying to win this T-Mobile contest to get a $1M influx for their facilities. They're currently in third place.

But third place is no good. We need the whole state to show up for Dexter.

The football rankings are updated and they're starting to round into shape. The big surprise is Bonny Eagle rising to number 1. They're only giving up 3 points a game, which is a surefire way to win ballgames.

I'm pretty sure this isn't allowed.
A player from the opposing team came off the sideline to tackle a Fairview (TN) player after an interception😳

The refs would go on to reward Fairview with a touchdown.

Cooper had his first NBA Media Day, which wasn't nearly as interesting as the Clippers' Media Day (iykyk), but still fun.
