It's Already Week 7
So soon?

Week 7 is here (can you believe it's already Week 7? Where does the time go?), but before we get into it, we need to overreact to Week 6 and who better to overreact than WHOU's Ethan Snow?
Ethan's back in the booth after a a break to take care of his mental health (take care of your mental health, kids) and it's great to have him back.
We cover the OOB/Lake Region shootout he covered, try to figure out how deep into the fall you can still get pier fries, go through the regions to try and suss out how the Crabtree Rankings might all shake out, pour one out for the death of the Rob Kennedy Bowl, try and figure out the Fitzy finalists, and so much more. As always when Ethan's on the podcast, this was a great time.
There's also a bit in the intro about how I sort of got in trouble with the refs on the sidelines at Leavitt.

I don't anticipate you'll be able to watch it on Netflix ever, but this is certainly an interesting development.

I've always been fascinated by the inside baseball of media and it looks like we're heading toward an ecosystem of Netflix vs. YouTube as the two largest media companies in the world, so it makes sense that Netflix would want to get into video podcasts. Of course, these podcasts are all also on YouTube, so I dunno.

Dexter's quest for the $1M prize continues this Saturday with a T-Mobile hosted game against Houlton.

They've painted parts of the field in that T-Mobile magenta and it looks like it'll be a fantastic party. I'll be there to check it all out, as I suspect will be a lot of other people.
I'll also have stickers on me, if you want one. Come say hi!

Game of the Day
The Spruce Mountain Phoenix are 4-1 on the season, with the 1 loss coming to a Yarmouth team that's just below them in the Crabtree with a 5-1 record.
The region is loaded.

Only 4 of these teams will make the playoffs and we'll have a really good idea who will be the odd man out after Lake Region plays GNG on Friday. If you're Spruce, you really want the 1 seed for the slightly easier side of the bracket (plus, you know, no Yarmouth rematch until the Regional Final).
They'll host a Stearns team that also only has 1 loss (to OOB) and while at a glance, it seems like they've got a similarly deep region, only 1 other team in the region has a positive scoring differential and Orono and Dexter are 41st and 52nd in the Power Rankings, respectively. The top 3 in Spruce's region are all in the top 20.

The Model thinks this can be a good one, but more importantly, these are the 3rd (Spruce Mountain, 49.6) and 4th (Stearns, 48.0) scoring offenses in the state. The only two above them are OOB (54.7) and Cony (50.2).
So it has the potential to be a close, high-scoring game. Will it match last week's OOB/Lake Region classic? Probably not, but maybe?
