Down the Stretch We Come
it's the final week of the regular season. Let's go!
In Saturday's Game of the Day, Fort Kent led by 14 in the second half before Mattanawcook ripped off a 13-0 run. Kooper McCarthy scored 12 of his 19 in the fourth quarter and the Lynx closed with a 27-11 edge to stun Fort Kent, 65-63.
Mattanawcook and Fort Kent are going to go 2 and 3 in some order, which could set up a must-see Regional Semifinal.
Brewer won at the buzzer as they attempt to once again make the tourney after the Model left them for dead. They're 4.2% to get in. Don't count them out!
JACK.

Searsport celebrated the 50th anniversary of their 1976 Eastern Maine champs.
I think a couple of those guys could still get a bucket.
Tourney Odds are updated with a small note.
There was a bug where each teams Best-Case Scenario and Worst-Case Scenario Heal Points were reporting as far too high. It appears to be fixed now and I don't think it was impacting anything else. Seedings, odds of making the tournament, etc, all appear to be the same (whew).

Check out this highlight real blocked shot from AJ Moody. He came out of nowhere.
Power Rankings are updated. Here's the girls.

Let's update the Wins Draft standings. It's so close between Tyler and Mike. In good news, I might have the first pick next year. It's a good thing Greenville has such a good logo.

Cooper's 49-point performance caught the eye of Weekend Update.

I'll be honest with you. This is not the best slate of games we've gotten this year. I'd like to believe this is the calm before the storm of the next couple of days.
The Stax Index has Sumner @ Mattanawcook boys as the Game of the Day, but we just did Mattanawcook, so I'm going to pivot to the top girls game.
The old iteration of girls C North was a perennial Region of Death candidate, but that doesn't seem to be the case with this current collection of teams. Mattanawcook will be the clear favorite when we get to Bangor.

George Stevens will be the 2 seed when the tourney starts--that's a lock. Dexter has wrapped up a bye and will go directly to Bangor. They're probably in the 4/5 game. That's their floor.

But if they can beat GSA today and beat Foxcroft on Wednesday, they can get to the 3 seed, where they would probably get Calais or Caribou, which is who they'll probably get in the 4/5 game. They haven't played either team this year. But if they can get to 3, they'll get out of Mattanawcook's side of the bracket. Only 4 teams have stayed within 20 points of the Lynx this year and Dexter has done it twice.
George Stevens has lost twice this year, both times to Mattanawcook, but besides them, they've only played one team in the top 50 this year and that's Dexter. They're blowing everyone else out. 76% of their games have been double-digit wins and they haven't played a close game in over a month. It's been a real feast or famine.

Back on December 27th, Dexter lost to GSA in Blue Hill 29-25. Can they finish the job at home?

The Model's picks for the rest of today's games are after the jump.
